Step 1: Authorization to Proceed Once we receive your signed authorization to proceed form, you will be added to our schedule. One of our project supervisors will be assigned to your project and will reach out to you as soon as you move to the top of the schedule.
Step 2: Appliance specs needed If your project involves appliances, we will need appliance and sink specs. prior to starting the drawing process. Please email them to your project supervisor or to email@example.com.
Step 3: Design and Selection We will work with you to design your cabinets and guide you in the selection process. Attached is a checklist that includes the selections needed (wood type, stain/paint color, door style, etc.).
Step 4: Handles/Knobs Typically, included in the pricing is a handle/knob allowance. If handles/knobs chosen are over the allowance, the difference will be charged on the final invoice. Handles and/or knobs should be picked out as soon as possible (we need them to arrive a minimum of 3 weeks prior to installation). We have a special machine in our shop that we use for installing handles and knobs, so it’s really important to receive them on time. If they are not chosen on time and we are forced to install them onsite, there will be an extra cost of $200, plus $3 per handle/knob.
Step 5: Approve drawings and sign contract Once your drawings are complete, they will be emailed to you for your approval. If you have changes, please indicate them on the drawings and send them back to your project supervisor. Included in your project pricing is a complete set of drawings and 1 set of revisions. If you require additional revisions, the cost will be $85/hour.
Also at this time, we will update your contract to reflect any changes that have been made. We will send your updated contract via email and Adobe Sign. Please note: A signed contract and signed drawings are required prior to cutting your cabinets.
Step 6: Payment The payment schedule is as follows: (1.) Downpayment of ½ of the contract is due prior to us starting to cut your cabinets (2.) Remaining ½ is due upon delivery/installation of cabinets (3.) If Cambria or granite countertops are included in your project, you can hold the countertop amount until the countertop installation is complete.
Step 7: Building phase and Installation After your final drawings are signed and approved (and we’ve received your signed contract and downpayment), we’ll start building your cabinets. A typical 3-5 week construction period can be expected and installation will then be scheduled. Installation time will vary depending on your project, but your project supervisor will be able to give you a good idea on what to expect.
The job site must be ready and accessible when the install crew arrives. If we need to make extra trip(s) because it is not ready, a trip charge of $75 will be charged for each additional trip.
Step 8: Countertops, if applicable After your cabinets are installed, the countertop techs will come out to laser measure the cabinets for the new tops. Your sink and faucet will need to be onsite when they come measure. Typically, a 2 week turn around can be expected for countertop fabrication.
Thanks for the opportunity to work with you! We appreciate it!
