Winter 2021/22

Growing can be painful and exciting at the same time. With that being said, we are delighted to share our expansion news!

Modern Design has had a market presence in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul metro for 30 years and we have now added a showroom in Rochester. The showroom is fully staffed and we are putting the finishing touches on displays and vignettes. We look forward to serving this community with the same quality and customer service that we are known for here in the metro and surrounding areas. Moving into another community means we also need additional shop space to keep production on pace. The new shop is located in Norwood Young America, just 6 miles west of our Cologne location. It boasts the same level of automation and quality machinery as Cologne. Employees are in place and excited to move into the new facility. There are a handful of items left to complete for the renovation and we anticipate production starting first quarter of 2022.

Meet Mike Sparrow, our new Estimator. Mike joins us from Reynolds and Reynolds where he installed and repaired computer systems for over 23 years. In his free time, Mike enjoys playing baseball, hunting, fishing and camping. His 2 grandsons keep him busy when he isn't on a ball field or helping coach the Le Sueur Henderson Varsity baseball team. Mike and his wife Marci enjoy traveling and cruising as much as they can.
